Walk at Mathildenhöhe in Darmstadt

A colony of artist, supported by the Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig von Hessen, designed the spacious area around 1899. Houses, where the artists lived and worked in and axhibitions took place.
The russian chapel, built by Leonti Nikolajewitsch Benois, 1897-1899, a grand father of Peter Ustinov.
