Glossy paper. Area (Fiat) pre soaked with wetting agent. I am not unhappy with this - still a lot of dye over the edge and accentuated area may be too big...also due to the different shades (reflections) an even colouring was not possible..yet

Hand colouring black&white prints (and large format transparencies) with protein glaze dye is old crafts - the last time I did it was 40years (+) ago. But I wanted to "re-vitalise". I could find some old stock dye from an Arts shop (Photo Technology from the UK based Patterson Photax Ltd) at reasonable prices. The first five frames are just practising to get acquainted with the materials/colours etc - my conclusion; one needs a lot of practice to master this method: The dye is not forgiving - once over the edge it is there; colon..also dye intensity or which area to select/accentuate etc needs experience and practice.........but it is fun
