Siberia. February. Evening. On the bank of the river in the snow, a tree uprooted with a sawn crown. This young graceful tree adorned the picture of this coast for many years. The tree stood at a great inclination to the water and sintemintally waved its graceful crown to the sun and the river and people. I often came here, to his company, to see off the sun and the water of the river going north into the distant Kara Sea.
