Echo

This image, the last on my roll of color film that morning, was a combination of luck and planning. I was trying to take this shot a week before, but the neon sight went off the second I approached it. So, I marked the time and came back again. But it was still too dark, and the lights were too bright. So I decided to take a risk and started the exposure a few seconds before the moment when I thought the sign would switch off again. I had one chance, one frame left, and it was perfect! After only 7 seconds of exposure, the neons shut off, and I kept the frame exposing for another 53 seconds to make up a minute. And with that, I've got details in shadows and a bit of the sky with star trails. #kodak #portra400 #mamiya #rb67 #longexposure #neon #glenecho #night #startrails #amusementpark #maryland
