    @CHARLIEDONTSURF Awesome! Everything comes together here. Buildings are great but the sharp contrasts don't allow for distractions from the scene. My first thought was "ack ack over dresden 1944". This is one of those picture worth a 1000 words thing because it tells a lot of story just from the stark abruptness. In color or typical b&w the buildings would be interesting and distracting, but here they are just relics and shells. Shocking and sad, and beautiful.

    @mike1allison one of my favourite comments, very thoughtful and rewarding for me. Thanks! I'd love to have seen those engine houses with thick black smoke coming out of them but that all ended the best part of a century ago!
