Getting rid of the bad stuff...
I have a real hate affair with this Ultrafine Plus 100 film. The grain is blotchy and all over the place, the film bows down the middle so bad when dried it's nearly impossibly to get a proper scan, and it's just, well, awful.
So, I use it, or what I have left of it, to do shutter speed tests on new medium format cameras. And inevitably forget I'm testing and take photos of the general kinds.
This roll contains a MX shot to make sure the MX function worked, a set of stacked MX shots into a dark spot to try all of the slower shutter speeds, and then an assortment of shutter/aperture tests in limited light using a tripod. Most cameras failures are usually at slower shutter speeds. So i wanted to make sure they were good.
As a result, I end up with this roll of photos. A few of the blurry ones I can blame on focusing and holding the shutter button from a distance, the rest are just bad due to the film itself and the bowing in the middle.
Only one roll of this left and then I am freeeeeeee.
Indeed! And those are literal classics. They've become my yard work shoes due to the extreme sad state they are in, but they've been around for 20+ years now. The rest of my Vans sit in a box unloved, well most of them. I guess being used for yard work is better then not getting worn eh? :D
Classic! My Mother wouldn't buy me a pair of checked vans as a kid so she says I've making up for it as an adlut, I have about a dozen pairs, all different patterns, most of them slip-ons and the first were B&W checks. :-)
I have about 30 or so pairs now, as I've finally let my OCD need to own a ton of them go and am selling some off. I am keeping the old ones of course, and the special ones. Wearing a pair of customs right now. Gotta love Vans slip ons!
