Winter Day at Kirkstall Abbey
A lovely sunny day at Kirkstall Abbey with my Lomokino
All the Lomokino movies I've seen are atrocious. I'm just not impressed. They're not even movies really. They're fast moving slides. No fluidity. Just choppy underexposed or overexposed images. The camera itself is ugly and poorly designed. I don't have a Lomokino Movie Maker and have never used one, but based on what I've seen, this camera is very good at one thing: ruining a good roll of 35mm film. I shoot Super 8mm film in addition to lomography. Now that's true movie-making. My advice to anyone truly interested in shooting analogue movies is to avoid the Lomokino and buy a Super 8 camera instead. They're quite cheap on eBay and Super 8mm film is still manufactured and relatively cheap. Plus you'll get three minutes of footage from one Super 8 film cart as opposed to 30 seconds from the Lomokino. Peace.
