Dinner for one please, James

The more I use it, the more I love it. I'm not talking about XP2 Super (although I could say the same thing about it) but the kickass SMC Pentax-M 135mm f/3.5 which never fails to impress me with peachy results. It's compact but rock solid, the focus throw is long enough to make precise focus easy but short and smooth enough to focus quickly. Optically, it is excellent. It is very versatile. Wide open, the center is very sharp, vignette is kept to a minimum and bokeh is simply great, which makes it an amazing portrait lens but I love using it for street photography and landscape too. Additional benefit: it also has a built-in lens hood. PentaxForum puts it in its top 10 of the best Pentax lenses ever (with my sweet Pentax-M 50mm f/1.4) and it is also featured here on Lomography: www.lomography.fr/magazine/322791-iconic-portrait-lenses
