@carsten-schmitt The Tessar was wide open at f4.7, but the 4x5 negative makes that more like the full-frame equivalent of f/1.25
I'm lucky enough to have found, many years ago when they were cheap, an Aero Ektar, that works out to a 35mm equivalent of 50mm f/0.7. There's so little depth-of-field that it's a real challenge to use.

Yeah, I've seen the Aeroektars and drooled over them, but prices are pretty high now and I currently only have Quarterplate Graflex RB which probably couldn't fit one of those beasts.
I did get some old (and weird) recon camera with a French LF lens (probably some Tessar type no one is excited about) but did not yet get around to do anything with it
