After several years in the Lomo community I finally decided to learn how to develop my own film. I made a quick stop in Findlay, Ohio to take a workshop from the very talented Mat Marrash (http://matmarrash.com/) who not only taught me how to develop my own film, but also taught me so much more about film photography, chemistry, alternative processes, etc. It was a great experience and I highly recommend working with Mat to anyone who might be interested. This roll was developed using a Jobo C-41 press kit.

Before we head back to Canada we took a trip to Liverpool and Wigan to visit Amelie's great-grandparents. Pretty weird to imagine meeting my own great-grandparents but hey that's what you get with having a kid in your 20's. We took a walk around the amazing Liverpool One, which is like a shopping district designed by Esher, worth a visit!
I used this film with my fisheye with submarine case. Unfortunately, my submarine had some water leaks and the salted seawater came inside the camera and the film... When I gave it to my usual lab, they told me they couldn't process it as the film was wet... :(
So I waited for a solution and let the film like that, unprocessed, in my room. After a month, I noticed that some strange signs of corrosion were to seen on the film canister, and thought that perhaps there was something interesting happening inside! But how could I process it???
And there I thought that this could interest Mr LabRat himself: Mandi! I wrote him and asked if he could process the film for me. And finally, almost 3 months after being shot, after a long maturation time and some special treatment to dry and process it, the pictures are here! Thanks a lot Mandi! ;)
Infrared Photos, taken on a very hazy day at Deukmejian Wilderness Park, with the Fuji GW690III camera, through a Hoya R72 filter, on Efke ir 820 120 infrared film, making 6X9cm negatives.
I keep messing with this instant negative stuff, I'm also feeling the cold war kids with this, I think I'm feeling the lyric "you were changin colours like the leaves in the fall" so a lot of these are about color shifts and disguises

The lomostore in Ipanema holds regular Blue Hour - a night when all lomographers and lomo enthusiasts are invited to drop by the store to check the available stuff, interact with one another on the subject of lomo or anything else, munch some nuts and enjoy free ice-cold Brazilian beers. Took these shots around the store, trying to capture the lomo peeps in their candid moments.
Mephisto19 tries to persuade me into taking lomo pictures and getting addicted to it. Well, still have a lot to learn, but I'm afraid he is succeeding... :-)
