While crowds run directly to Itsukushima-jinja shrine and the Torii Gate, and then queue to take selfies, we took our time and climb up to the Senjōkaku temple, who was almost empty. Sublime place, very quiet. To go up there, we only had to deviate barely 100 meters from the usual tourist circuit.
