My fave shot of the roll

What you don't see in these shots is the pain, the falls, the agony. Old man tries to longboard after not having skated for 30+ years. Hahaha. And I seem to have a brain problem that has my body convinced the wrong stance and footing is right. Oh boy do I have my work cut out for me.

    @iandevlinphoto I'm having to relearn many of the things I forgot, and falling takes a much larger toll on me. Longboards feel much different then shortboards. My goofy style and Mongo push worked for me great on my old boards. This one, I'm a wobbly mess like I've never skated before. lol :D

    If it would stop raining, I'd get back out and practice. Or break something lol. And hopefully have photos to document my experience. :D

    @pearlgirl77 What did you get? Mines a drop through board meant for speed and slides. I think I should have gone with something more shortboard style with a tail. Or just went back to regular skateing. The longboards are really not as easy to ride as the kids online make it seem. Just basic standing onit and pushing is work. Enjoy your board!

    it's not so long like a longboard but for speed and no tricks.. my friend bought a 27" pennyboard.. soooo cute.. want mooore.. hope some of the sardinashots will be good.. so you can see it ;)

    @pearlgirl77 My friends kiddo has one of those. I find them to be too tiny and too flexible for me, I just feel like I'm wobbly and out of control on it. But Im like that on any board anymore it seems. And my attempts to try and get back into BMX freestyle failed a few years back. So I was hoping longboarding might fit me since i loved board years ago.

    @pearlgirl77 I am notoriously bad about getting obsessed with something like this, buy a bunch, then never use them. If the Penny boards weren't as much as they are $$$ wise, I'd have one of those and a shortboard and probably some kind of longboard cruiser too at this point. Just like I have 60+ cameras, 10 or so which always have film and are by the door. Obsession and me love each other. :D

    @alienmeatsack I just looked at prices on those. Wow, they are proud of their skateboards. I remember them being around $20 USD when I was a kid. Now, $100+ USD ouch! And I want one anyway. Just because.

    haha yeees i want one tooo.. and here it costs more.. but i want one self designed.. soooooo cooooool.. but 150 € :( too much for me now... and don*t need two boards.. haha :P

    @pearlgirl77 Once you own the complete board, you only will have to change tires, bearings and bushing later. So that helps, but that assumes you are riding and wearing out the old one. :D

    I think most of the long boards here complete kits are $150-$350 USD... shortboards run from $100-300 as a kit, and the Penny boards are $99/120/150 USD I think.

    Lots of money we could spent on cameras and film and such though.

    @koduckgirl Thanks!
    @pearlgirl77 I am glad I have not gotten into tattoos on me, I'd spend every penny I have on them. Instead I put that money towards, film, cameras, developing, a new scanner fund and my skating etc. Until I break something or get hurt bad enough to stop me from skating anyway. :D
