Castle Contrasts (Ghana #6)

Going to Osu Castle in Accra was quite impressive. The structure was initally built by danish traders and exchange many colonial hands, Danish, Dutsch and British. Unfortunately it was also a harbour for the slave trade. Maybe smaller in trade then in other places, but maybe even more cruelsome of sorts. After Ghanas independence Osu Castle was also used as the presidential quarters and sometimes it still serves as a place for ceremonial meetings.
