Siberia. Winter. January. Our river has its own holiday calendar. For lovers of photography, this is a significant event. It is important not to miss these days. However, January is not the best time for us to walk with MINOLTA X 700. My holiday was short. On the river bank, the patience of the MINOLTA X 700 and the batteries lasted six shots. And it would not be so insulting if there were no recommendations on their use on the packaging of the batteries "Use at temperatures from -20 to +60." Therefore, I had hopes to start a new life with MINOLTA X 700. Absolutely NO. No winter holidays with MINOLTA X 700 in the open. #Siberia #Winter #January #river #outfit

Thank you for your attention and opinion.
Two LR 44 or 357 batteries, regardless of what technology they are made of (silver or alkyd), require warm handling. Therefore, the wonderful Minolta X-family cameras do not work at sub-zero air temperatures. I think the temperature is critical for them - 5, maybe a little lower.
Of course, I completely agree with you that in favorable weather conditions it is a pleasure to work with very kind representatives of this respected family. I love them very much for this.

Thanks for the recommendation. I think I tried with such a battery. We have them - a rarity. Therefore, I somehow bought them much more expensive than two LR 44s. But I haven’t seen them on store shelves for a long time.
