Sunflowers and threatening sky

End of july. Dicovering the inland lands of Charente, we made a stop on the road, to enjoy this fabulous field of sunflowers, with this threatening sky above.

Beautiful sky! Doesn't seem threatening at all. Do they use these sunflowers for their seeds?

@neufotomacher Thanks. It was very threatening. Just 20 minutes later, we had a nice stormy weather... The sunflowers are used for sunflower oil, which is the best for french fries!

It's interesting to me, the French would refer to what I know as french fries, as "french fries." Not pomme frit?

@neufotomacher I said it in english, in french, we use only the word "frites".
