   @heliossstardeath Agree. Same. Ultra-elegant cerebral slow burn. Lem’s novel also has half of the pages giving history of mankind trying to fathom the cause/purpose/sentience of the ocean and is amazing as well. You can feel where Tarkovsky found the complexity and depth. One description had it as the final growth of an earth like planet, an unfathomable gelatinous combined conscious of all cyclic awareness in a state like a ‘final evolutionary product’ that can control its orbit. Ants on a busy skyscraper. lol
