One of my main goals while living in Istanbul is to take pictures of the cats that I encounter, as a way of getting to know the city from their perspective. The cats here seem to have their own society, their own world, and their own very misterious understanding of life here, and this seems like a perspective I would like to get closer to. Most of the street cats have a name, a lot of them probably have multiple names (we also name them for that time we spend with them), and I am really not sure what they think of their names. They don't really care about them, I would think.
