My Kiev was having the usual overlapping issues. I tried to do the permanent fix but I couldn't figure out how to pull off the ISO dial lid so I experimented with some temporary fixes instead. I used this old Lucky film, since it was cheap, for the tape fix, thinking that it wouldn't be such a waste if it doesn't work. While I'm so pleased the temporary fix actually worked, I gotta say that I am loving the grittiness of this film from its heavy grain. I have to remember to use it on a some sort of Wild West theme shoot. xo

Do you wind the film when you load the film, then open the back and wind again? Thats my method.
I just think, it's so easy to solve the problem this way, that it would be so extensive to calibrate it..

@vivie no, what i do is i load til the arrows match the marker and wind 4 times. I also use spools that i have put about 20 layers of regular tape on. :)

that sounds complicated. have you ever tried my tip? load the film normal until you see "start". wind twice. Then you open the filmback a little little bit, so that the counter goes back to 0. then you wind twice and shoot normally. You also have 12 exposures, but the counter isn't correct. for me this works perfect!
