dexter at the door
found this old camera in an antique shop for $16. the shutter worked a little rough, but after a few minutes of clicking and resetting, it freed up. i experimented with the shutter speed a little, using kodak t-max 400 film. i will definitely be using this camera more often. looking forward to seeing what it can do with other film types.
I enjoy your Argus pics. When living in York, Me, I went to the flea market in Kittery on route 1. I bought a Kodak Reflex and a Brownie. I took lots of photos. 620 film could be bought at Osco drug on Shapleigh Rd. Lots of old boats, farm harvesters still kicking around then.
Thank you Natorama! While I no longer live in York or in Maine, I visit there and still work there often enough (and hope to return some day). If you look hard enough, there are still some great old boats and old farms around. For awhile, i would just respool my 120 film onto the 620 spool…a lot of extra work, but i liked the results. I haven’t used this camera in awhile, but i still have it and i know it still works. A testament to quality.
