Magical Pictorial: Photographs by Edy Daulcle
1 14 Share TweetHighly inspired by various legendary photographers of the past, French Lomographer Edy Daulcle a.k.a. poison-exquis combines all the qualities he has picked up from them to create his signature style of romantic-fantastical imagery.
Edy’s portraits are of women dressed in ornate lace dresses and garments, adding to that element of fantasy and sensuality to them. There’s also a bit of gothic element to his portraits, usually with the color black on most articles of clothing, and some props and accessories. Edy’s LomoHome is also filled with shots of art pieces from museums, statues found in parks and public areas. He draws inspiration from them as well.
Taking after the Pictorialist Movement, he composes these images on natural, romantic settings, particularly with a lot of foliage. Using shallow focal depth, the leaves in the background would transform into brush-like strokes of bokeh.
