Please tell us something about yourself and what you do.

I am 22 years old. I'm originally from Turkey, but I was born in Germany, so I live in a small German village. I’ve worked for some years in the retail sector as a shop assistant. Currently, I’m working as a freelancer. However, since my childhood I have a passion for taking photographs. It's a lot of fun moving the ideas in my head into reality.

How did you find the Community and who/what convinced you to join?

After I've bought my first Lomography camera (Diana Mini) in Berlin, I came across your website. I often used it to explore pictures with different cameras, nonetheless I’ve never flirted with the idea of sharing my own pictures until a particular time.

As you have read the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography, what rule do you apply in your everyday life?

I’m trying to bring my camera with me everytime I find a chance to unfold ideas in my own way. (Unfortunately yeah, I often forget it). I also should be more familiar with the darkness and get out much more at night to take pictures. Furthermore, I'm a "loyal lover" of Rule # 6 ("Don`t think“ - William Firebrace) when I'm taking pictures.

In this digital age, why still film?

Because everything is digital at the moment and most of the people grab their SLR cameras or smartphones cause it produces photographs faster. Analogue photography is much more fascinating. Every time I fetch the developed pictures, I am in a new state of excitement.

Unless you’re incredibly organized, much of your first digital archives have already been lost.

Your favorite analog camera as of the moment? Why?

These days my favorite analog camera is Revue ML 1.8. (It’s was my cheapest camera ever, I bought it from eBay for less than 5€). The reason why I choose this one is simple: It's easy to use and produces awesome grain.

My all-time favorite camera is "MA QUEEN“, Diana Mini.

What is the Lomography camera you’d want to have someday?

The Lomo'Instant Automat Glass!!! (Pray for it to come true please!)

Any song, book, or movie you live by?

Book: The Alchemist
Movie: The Fabulous Destiny Of Amélie Poulain
Song: Beyoncé's "Love On Top"

Share your current favorite Lomograph, could be yours or a friend’s. Why?

This is currently my favorite lomograph because of the beautiful drawings on the pictures and the great colors. He should definitely make more of this kind of art!

Any Community member you look up to? If so, why him or her?

It’s still a new community for me and - to be honest - I haven’t get lucky many new friends yet. But here are a few of my favorite members:

@007-0815-styler - Awesome instant portraits!
@efealacamli - Shows the beauty of my homeland!
@tohumus - Known him for many years. I love his work!

What are you looking forward to in our Community?

I'm really looking forward to getting to know about new photographers who still use film. I also look forward to seeing many inspiring and beautiful pictures and to share some of my images. Keep on shooting!

Thank you @whoisgamze for sharing your thoughts with us! Welcome to the community and we're looking forward to seeing your future work!
