Zorki 4B

I purchased this Zorki 4B from 1972 for about 50 euros including shipping. Fixed the selftimer which was defective, adjusted the second curtain spring tension and calibrated the rangefinder (still a bit off vertically). I modified it so the take-up spool is permanently attached to the shaft so I don't fear losing it while field-loading the camera. Everything seems to function properly now. Lens is a Jupiter-8 PT3070 50mm f2 and is from 1968.

That was my first camera when I started to collect 10 yrs back....as I did not have sufficient funds over for a Leica..(-;....I love the Zorki 4 - a good camera indeed - I use it with the 35 mm lens, the 2/5o Jupiter lens (as yours) as well as a Jupiter 135mm lens....all functioning well!

Nice. All of my Russians have bad self timers. Hmm or maybe it's me....

@mike1allison On these Zorki cameras, you have to fully rewind the timer spring before letting it go. Otherwise it doesn't trigger the shutter.
