Lips

Up on the hill in the neighborhood park with Mike. Although I was aiming for his face, he must have shyed away at the last minute, leaving me with this image.

I am pleased to say that although this is not the picture I intended to take, I do like it more. Now his lips are the subject of the photograph, not the entirety of his face as was planned - just his lips, that brilliant, familiar smile. It is placed in the center, the voice of the image, resonating with the memory of that day.

The candidness of my mistake makes this photo infinitely more priceless, infinitely more beautiful.
