   Google says it is "Monument to Portuguese Discoveries" though I initially thought it is a monument to the girl waiting for coming or return of her beloved one from the sea, like in the story of Scarlet Sails :)

   @rodiongork Yes, there are a lot of reminders on the Portuguese discoveries between Lisboa and the actual sea. Belem Tower for once or the Belem Monastary where the discoverers were said to have a prayer before the departure.
