A day at the Listening Ears

These are the old 'listening ears', or sound mirrors, built on the South Coast in the early 20th century in order to be able to hear enemy aircraft activity all the way on the other side of the channel (aka in France), before the days of radar and satellites these behemoths have survived to show the ingenuity of the times, although now they look much more like some soviet memorial somewhere!
