Before the WW Hitler had this idea of building the first mass tourist holiday resort. It is 7.5 km. long. and there is still 9.847 rooms remaining. Most of it is ruins, but there is a lot of small museums cafes and so on. The background is not okay, but I like the idea and it`s and amazing building. Just sit in your car and drive alongside it.
In my country Spain, Franco build a lot of these buildings, and nowadays are still people living there. Isn't more sad? The legacy of our fascist dictator is still there, ugly, disgusting, and most of people don't even notice it. But I agree with you that these buildings are interesting, I always take pictures of abandoned places, I find it disturbing and you can always imagine them all kind of stories.
