The monument in the center of Yekaterinburg is a joint project of the Ministry of Culture of Belarus and the Sverdlovsk government. The author of the project was the sculptor Sergei Logvin.
People's Artist of the USSR and Belarus Vladimir Mulyavin was born in Sverdlovsk in 1941. He sang «My Homeland Belarus» and remained a Ural resident in the soul. Born in Sverdlovsk, he became famous as the founder of the Belarusian ensemble «Pesnyary». In a long coat, with a guitar in his hands. In the eyes of a slightly noticeable sadness. It's like living, say fans of Vladimir Mulyavin.
Three-meter monument was installed in October 2014, on the site in front of the cinema-concert theater «Space» («Kosmos»), it was here that the musicians gave concerts for two decades. Such a large monument to the main song is the first in Russia. There is no analogue even in Belarus. Every time, on a tour, musicians «Pesnyary» promise to come to the monument. However, they will be able to do this in Minsk. According to the sculptor's plan a copy of this monument will soon appear in Belarus.
