Monument to the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles brothers Cyril and Methodius, the creators of the Old Slavonic alphabet. The authors of the sculptural composition are the sculptor Alexander Rozhnikov and the architect Mikhail Tikhomirov.
Molded bronze figures of saints are installed next to the Orthodox cross located behind them on a massive pedestal lined with granite. St. Cyril holds in his left hand a scroll with the Old Slavonic alphabet, St. Methodius - the Gospel. The total height of the monument together with the pedestal is 7.5 meters.

The monument was opened in the city of Kolomna on May 23, 2007 on the Cathedral Square of the Kremlin near the tent belfry of the Assumption Cathedral. His solemn opening took place in the framework of celebrating the days of the Slavic writing in the city. The monument was consecrated by Metropolitan Yuvenaly of Krutitsy and Kolomna.
