It's kind of bittersweet, autumn in the Copper Country, since many of my flowers are just getting to bloom now that we're into mid-September. I've done a lot this summer, but sometimes the season seems so short.
since i fell in love with zenza bronicas in general and the s2a model in particular i was searching for a rather light version of it with 6x4.5 format. i was lucky to found this etr on ebay in mint condition and a good price. ok, it's made from plastic, changing film is fiddling compared to the older models and the zenzanon lens isn't as sharp as the nikkors. but anyway it is a reliable, very good and nice looking camera with the charme of the 80's. what i absolutely admire is the sound of the shutter, smooth but hearable like openin a bottle of champaign.

voigtländer vitomatic iia is a real jewel. i found it in a local camera and photography supply store for a very good price and just got it. i wasn't very emotional with it in the first place, which is not ordinary for me. it was just a buy on the fly. but when i took the first frames i started loving the bright finder, the smooth aperture ring and the easyness of film loading. ans seeing the results was a surprise. it is wonderfully sharp with a smooth glance around the endges i've never seen before on any other camera. probably the shiny surface affects the film ...
Since I changed careers 7 years ago I rarely make it to Northampton anymore. I'm such a country bumpkin these days that just going to a little backwater like NoHo (or as the townie locals call it Hamp) feels like "the big city" to me.
The Yashica T4 headed off to prison that cold, but sunny and clear, Monday morning. Its last words before it headed into the big house were "I love you X Tungsten, don't forget me while I'm gone..."
