I recently found this mid 90's LC-A in mint condition. One reason I wanted it was because I could crank the ASA down to 25 to use with Redscale XR. I love the results and was surprised to see the huge difference in the image quality compared to my LC-A+. This is a much better lens with improved contrast and sharpness. I also like the additional controls. Hey LSI, you guys are all about the speical editions...how about a special run of LC-As with ISO down to 25 but with mx?

I agree with you. In my personal opinion, the original LC-A has better lens than the LC-A+

Can you set the aperture manually as well? That's one feature I really would love . . . are you listening LSI???? ;D Great album, Pete!

Yes, the aperture lever on the right hand side has 16-2.8 with Automatic on the bottom. I noticed a difference in heft too so I weighed the LC-A+ and discovered the older model weighs 1 oz more. It isn't much but it makes the camera feel just a tiny bit more substantial.

I share your idea, but I prefer an LC-a with a plastic lens...<:)
