This summer the Museum of London is to host a photography exhibition in collaboration with Lomography in the shape of a LomoWall exhibition of thousands of photographs submitted by the public and the Lomography Community. Here is your first chance to be a part of this historic Olympic art project.
Opening in July 2012 to celebrate the start of the Olympic and Paralympic games, the LomoWall exhibition from Lomography will explore the themes of Inspiring and Achieving. In the run up to the exhibition we will be hosting a series of workshops at the Museum of London, these can be booked online here. We will also be doing special workshops each month at Lomography Gallery Store Soho, and Lomography Gallery Store East London – photos from all of these workshops will feed into the final exhibition. However, wherever you live in the world, you too can also be a part of this huge Olympic project!
Over the next five months we will run monthly rumbles, tying in to the big picture of Inspiring and Achieving in London 2012. This month’s theme is team spirit, so show us the photos that best represent your idea of team spirit. The photos do not have to be directly sports related, or shot in London, they just have to be shot on film!
Not all photos submitted will be selected for the final exhibition, and we won’t be able to confirm which shots were used until the LomoWall is built by our expert LomoWall designers.
So come on in and be a part of this, the largest UK LomoWall since The London Congress in 2007!!
